As part of the options currently available to reach Europe, a special Kenya Airways flight is being organised, as informed by the local Embassy ("High Commission") of the United Kingdom, with departure scheduled for next Friday 24 April from Nairobi JKIA to London. A connecting flight from Mombasa to Nairobi operated by Jambo Jet will also be available.
According to the High Commission of the United Kingdom, this flight, being still awaiting clearance from the Kenyan authorities, may be subject to date or time changes, or even cancellation.
The cost of the ticket is Euro 1609.

COVID-free certificate

Attention is drawn to the need, in order to be able to board the above flight, to undergo prior laboratory tests for COVID-19 negativity. Those who have purchased the ticket can go to one of the Lancet laboratories in Kenya (https://lancet.co.ke/branches/) for a free test to be carried out within 72 hours of departure. The results will be available within 24 hours and will be shared with Kenya Airways. Those who test positive will be refunded the cost of the ticket, except for the cost of the test (approximately $80).

Connections from London to Italy:

Please note that from London there are special flights to Rome with Alitalia, with limited capacity. It is therefore suggested to check, in advance of the possible purchase of the flight to London, the availability of seats that can be booked on the following website:

For travel within Kenya to reach Nairobi and Mombasa airports, it is recommended that you contact this Embassy immediately after purchasing your ticket in order to facilitate the necessary authorization to travel between counties.
