Every day that passes the connections between Kenya and Italy become more and more difficult, between companies that reduce or cancel flights (due to lack of passengers), that refuse our compatriots and anyone from Italy or from countries that close their borders to Italians.
Yesterday it was the case of Tanzania and Zanzibar, which initially decided to land direct flights from Italy, i.e. the charters of the Neos and Blu Panorama companies, which give impetus to much of the tourist season that often continues in the Indian Ocean island until the end of April. This week, after the blockade of Kenya to the charter companies landing in Mombasa, the tour operators and in particular Alpitour, decided to "re-protect" whoever wanted it and bought a package holiday in a resort on the Kenyan coast, right on Zanzibar. But yesterday afternoon the news of the "ban" also arrived from the Tanzanian destination.
This will put in trouble those who had booked the return charter flight from Mombasa to Milan, Verona or Rome on March 19th and 26th, while for the 12th there are good hopes of finding places available, as there are still tourists in Zanzibar who have to return from their holidays.
For now, the hope of those who have to return to Italy is linked to Ethiopia, as the national Ethiopian Airlines company has never closed to any "hotbed" destination, not even Addis Ababa airport.
