For many years, the tradition of large New Year's Eve fireworks in Malindi, started by Bobby Cellini at Casino Malindi in the 1990s, has continued thanks to the passion and generosity of Pasquale Pes, who has treated the entire population and tourists to fireworks displays over the Indian Ocean from the beach of his Olimpia Club.
 
This year in Kilifi, Pasquale promises an even bigger and more unique fireworks display, but in the creek of the coastal town, in front of his increasingly impressive White Star venue, which has introduced many new features for intense days of leisure, such as the “water off-road vehicle” made from a Suzuki, which allows for a fun ride around the characteristic inlet.
On Saturday 31st December, in the atmosphere of the Kilifi stilt house on the sea, the evening will begin with a set dinner, with a menu of fresh fish or meat and variations for vegetarians, and the opportunity for those who appreciate it to taste the unmissable and unique fresh oysters, caught locally, followed by midnight celebrations with prosecco and panettone and the most spectacular fireworks display on the entire coast.
