The jazz guitarist Matteo Di Leonardo returns to Nairobi and performs next Friday, October 4, at the Michael Joseph Center in Nairobi (19:00) as part of an evening sponsored by the Italian Institute of Culture in Nairobi, the Embassy of Italy in Kenya as part of the program Italy Culture Africa of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Matteo Di Leonardo's visit marks the conclusion of the "AIR" project, created to motivate young Italian jazz musicians towards reality and the international scene thanks to a process of exchange and a path of training and professional growth through comparisons and contacts between artists in a creative exchange of experiences. Last year the talented guitarist from Teramo spent a month in Nairobi during which he interacted with these local musicians, the result of this synergy has aimed at the composition of songs that will be presented for the first time live.
