The Malaika Lounge Restaurant in Malindi is preparing in the best possible way for the new high tourist season. In the renovated premises on the seafront, opposite Buntwani Park, in addition to the bar, pastry shop, ice cream parlour and bakery services available from early morning and the extensive Italian and international lunch and dinner menus, from this Wednesday onwards, every Wednesday to Saturday, there will be a variety of exciting evening events from late afternoon until late at night.
It all kicks off this Wednesday, 3 December, with “Vinyl Story Night”, a buffet dinner starting at 7 p.m., combined with a vintage disco, with a live set by DJ Max and music from the 70s, 80s and 90s. Dinner plus disco admission Kes. 2500 (drinks not included), disco admission only from 10 p.m., free for girls, Kes. 500 for men, including one beer.
On Thursdays, starting this week, there will be ‘Afro House Night,’ featuring Dolly Sax and music starting at 5 p.m., cocktails and drinks, à la carte dinner and disco admission (free for girls, £800 for men with two free beers) from 10 p.m.
Live music will be featured every Friday starting on 5 December: on the stage of the Malaika Lounge, starting at 6 p.m., a band will perform to accompany the evening at the restaurant or in the lounge bar until closing time. Finally, the unmissable “Saturday night disco”, the Saturday evening dedicated to Latin American atmospheres: “Cuban Salsa Night”, an exclusive evening for Malindi, with Caribbean music and salsa dancers, for wholesome, engaging fun without sand under your feet.
