The low tourist season and the first rains certainly don't stop the monthly market of Malindi at the Sea Fishing Club, an appointment in which to find a bit of everything, but especially sympathy and pleasure to share a morning in pure "Old Malindi" style.
Tomorrow, Saturday 7 May, it's back to meeting up again in the sign of the exhibition of handicrafts and local productions of food and all kinds of fruits of the earth, but also of the creativity of those who, even in this difficult period with few satisfactions for those who work in a tourist destination, want to keep alive and offer something to others.
After the closure of the Drifwood Club, for more than half a century a meeting point for the community of Malindi residents and many social activities, the glorious Malindi Sea Fishing Club has taken over the legacy of the "Farmer's Market", the monthly appointment for those who want to exhibit their products but also sell second-hand objects and artifacts. 
From 10 am to 1 pm in the local waterfront of the town, next to the fish market, you can meet and have a drink together, wandering through the markets set up by volunteers, with the opportunity to buy bread, fruits and vegetables, homemade food specialties and much more and then possibly stop for lunch. 
The entrance is free and the pleasure of being together also.
