TOURISM

So many problems and so many obstacles for Watamu, between 2021 and 2022, but the tourist destination has demonstrated once again, and still in times of pandemic, its international vocation and the will of many entrepreneurs in the sector to hold on and not lower the quality of the offer. Not only that, Italian hospitality players continue to bet on the "pearl of the Indian Ocean" and will remain open even after the high season, trusting in better times.
We, from Malindikenya.net, went to see Guido Bertoni, owner of the Gecko Resort, a structure that overlooks the beautiful beach of Garoda. With his 30 years of experience in tourism in Kenya, he tells us about the problems but also the surprises of the season that has just passed and that, with all its problems, allows optimism for the future.
