All restrictions still on in Kenya

The situation after lifted curfew

22-10-2021 by redazione

Although Kenya has reopened its borders to almost all countries in the world and accepts tourists without imposing them anything other than a molecular swab performed no later than 96 hours after arrival in Nairobi or Mombasa, and last Wednesday, October 20, has removed the curfew that from March 20, 2020 required to return home at 10 pm (initially even at 9 am) and be able to resume normal life at 4 am, in Kenya the pandemic still imposes some restrictions.
Since the percentage of those vaccinated with a second dose is no more than 5%, it is still compulsory to wear a mask in public places and stores, and in any meeting situation, where it is still recommended to respect social distances of at least 1.2 meters. At the entrance of each activity, it is also mandatory to measure the body temperature of those who enter and invite them to disinfect their hands.
All gatherings and meetings, including political ones of any form and quantity of people are prohibited, except for special permits and with a reduced number of participants, while with regard to weddings and funerals, the number of participants is strictly limited to a maximum of 100 people.
Burials must be conducted within 96 hours from the confirmation of the death of the person involved in the funeral and this must also happen for those who did not die from the virus.
The President has recently increased to two-thirds of the capacity the attendance in places of worship, while the vaccination certificate for now is asked only in prisons, for those who want to visit relatives.
The government has recently asked the authorities to monitor even more strongly any infringement of the restrictions.
