Percentages of Covid-19 cases compared to tampons always well below 5% in Kenya, even at the beginning of October. Yesterday, Thursday 1, the Ministry of Health recorded 184 positive cases of Covid-19 in the previous 24 hours, with total positivity in the country rising to 38,713 and the cases supposed to be still active are 12972.
In a statement released to the media, Minister Mutahi Kagwe announced that 4,700 samples were analyzed during the period in question, bringing the total number of samples analyzed so far to 552,646.
§Of the positive cases, 170 are Kenyan and 14 are foreign. 110 are male and 74 are female, the youngest case is a two-year-old boy and the oldest is 88 years old.
At the same time, 115 patients were discharged; 67 from the home care program and 48 from hospitals across the country, bringing the total number of healings to 25,023.
Unfortunately, 7 patients lost their lives to the disease, bringing the total number of deaths to 718.
In counties, cases are distributed as follows: Nairobi 58, Mombasa 22, Kisumu 20, Nakuru 13, Kericho 13, Trans Nzoia 8, Laikipia 7, Machakos 7, Uasin Gishu 6, Narok 6, Kisii 6, Kiambu 4, Kwale 4, Homabay 3, Bomet 2, Embu 2, while West Pokot, Makueni, Nandi and Siaya each recorded one case. The Ministry continues to urge Kenyans to wear their masks, wash their hands regularly and practice social distance. But fewer and fewer people follow the rules, convinced that the worst is over.
