Kenya is increasingly attracting the interest of golf enthusiasts from all over the world.
By now, we are no longer talking about the 18-hole Muthaiga and green meadows of Karen, but also about the gentle hills of the Vipingo Ridge, where you land by helicopter or with the Safari Link internal line, and of Nyali, Limuru, Great Rift Valley, Sigona and Windsor.
Since 2009, when Kenya became part of the international golf circuit, Kenya has made a long way between "green" and "fairway", so much so that in 2018 it will host one of the longest and most complete tours in the world, through different scenarios that will offer golfers the opportunity to spend a period of leisure, mild climate and sport with more and more professionalism.
Also this year the Kenya Tourist Board, in the recent Nairobi fair, has focused heavily on golf tourism, and the sponsorship of Turkish Airlines for the World Cup rehearsals to be held in Kenya, is significant.
The hotel industry can only be happy with this evolution of one of the most popular sports in the upper class.
There are already dedicated packages with hotels, safaris and golf tours that take 14 days, with great interest from the United States and Australia.
The Kenyan tournament of 2018 will be the sixth largest tour in the world, the warm winter holidays have an extra target.
