The new trial of three of the alleged members of the band that last November 20, 2018 kidnapped the Italian volunteer Silvia Romano in the village of Chakama will not begin until the end of October.
The new accusations of terrorism have, in fact, reset everything to zero, changing the rules of procedure and dictating new provisions.

Provided, of course, that Moses Luwali Chembe's lawyer, Abdalla Gababa Wario and Ibrahim Adan Omar (by October 16, as established today by Judge Julie Oseko) is able to defend his patients from the new charge of terrorism. Otherwise, the trial will not take place and the sentences will be proceeded with.
In the meantime, however, Moses can return to probation, because the new guarantees (bonds) have been issued that bring all three to 3 million shillings (about 27 thousand euros) the amount to be paid so as not to wait behind bars for the next hearing. The other two, on the other hand, are unlikely to be able to pay this amount. Adan, moreover, was already out after having paid 500,000 shillings, but now he should add another 2.5 million or reach the same amount by providing securities to guarantee the ownership of land (as in the case of the same Moses).
Moses is obliged not to leave the boundaries of the County of Kilifi, unless he has made a request to the Judge of the Court of Malindi. All three will also have to present themselves in the next few days to testify at the office of the Kenyan police Anti-Terrorism Unit.
Given the importance of the retrial, possible dates for the resumption of the hearings have already been set, during which at least fifteen witnesses will have to be heard. 24 and 25 October in Chakama and 14 and 15 November in Malindi.
