For the sixth month in a row, Malindi took to the streets to clean up a district of the town, but above all to make people aware of the problem of rejections and to teach separate collection and intelligent disposal.
It is an action carried out in conjunction between the associations of residents and institutions, represented by the Department of Environment of the County of Kilifi, the City of Malindi (there were some members of the executive committee), the NEMA (government executive authority in terms of the environment) and the Police, which once again closed the streets included in the cleaning path to traffic.
With the Progress Welfare Association of Malindi and the Malindi Green And Blue movement as organizers, we at Malindikenya.net are also among those who are always present and this month we also facilitated the meeting between Malindini activists and representatives of Legambiente of Friuli Venezia Giulia, who knew about the initiative and wanted to participate, also distributing t-shirts and caps of the association:
"We will promote Kenya and its passion for safeguarding the territory - said the contact person Dino Fabris - we are happy to be able to participate directly in the Clean Up to realize the goodness of an initiative that we read on your portal.
