The 2022 edition of the 7 Islands Festival tells a unique story that is already a myth for the tourist resort of Watamu.
The event was born two years ago and reproposed bravely, with all the chrisms and respect for protocols even in the period of the pandemic, enjoying great success, returns in complete freedom with its intent to entertain and at the same time to strengthen and revive the local economy.
This year the three days of music, meetings and shows that will begin Friday, March 18 in the beach of the seven islands, between the 7 Islands Resort and Paparemo Beach, in addition to offering 35 deejays, including 9 of international fame as well as tattoo artists, yoga teachers, artists and stalls, will bring for the first time between the reef and the sand atolls of Watamu a hot air balloon, like those that are used to fly over the Maasai Mara.
The party will consist of non-stop music day and night (the international deejays are Zakes Bantwini from South Africa, Sasson and Moovin from France, the intriguing dark lady KitKat from Russia, Omri from Israel, Nickie Cartel from the USA, plus other console slingers from Mexico and Austria), boutique events, marine excursions and of course eating and drinking.
