Everything is ready for an unprecedented event in Watamu. Starting tomorrow, the new edition of Watamu's most famous and celebrated festival, the 7Islands Festival, will take place from Friday 7 to Sunday 9 October on the beach of the 7 Islands Resort, which this year will be transformed into a veritable jungle for a themed event that will involve thousands of young and old alike.
For this year's edition, a sumptuous music part is planned, in addition to the marathon of international deejays that have been identifying the event for the past three years. The guest of honour will be Nigerian singer and performer Oxlade, whose single 'Away' reached the Rolling Stones Top 50 worldwide in 2020. Sharing the 'jungle' style stage with him will be the musician Bien, one of the voices of the most famous Kenyan pop group, Sauti Sol, who are a favourite of international VIPs and politicians, including Barack Obama, who wanted them at one of his gigs.
