Also this Monday, 20 February, one of the dinners that attracted tourists in the golden years of 'Italian' Kenya will be staged, in a historic Neapolitan restaurant in Malindi that set the standard for the menu that never changed, but was a certainty, all based on freshly caught shellfish, prepared in the simplest possible way, because when the raw material is delicious and fresh, there is little to invent, you must have the craft and the touch of a chef, such as the Italian chef of Mapango, inside the Lily Palm resort.
The restaurant has decided to bring back those atmospheres by proposing, as it did then, a unique 'all-fish' dinner with a fixed menu, with the evocative title 'Lilyndina'. Starting at 8 p.m., there will be tuna tartare with avocado and basil as an entrée, then the famous Neapolitan-style 'sciuè sciuè' spaghetti with prawns, and, in addition to vegetable side dishes and fries, the highlight: grilled lobster and prawns galore.
