As part of the Italian Cuisine Week in the World initiative promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Italian Embassy in Kenya, the IIC and the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) are organising various events. In particular, the ITA has organised two Italian wine masterclasses, led by Kenyan sommelier Joy Achola, on 4 December in Malindi and 5 December in Watamu.

The two events are free to attend by invitation and are aimed especially at those working in the hospitality sector in the two tourist destinations, recommending that hotel and restaurant owners participate or send their managers, barmen and maitre d's to improve their ability to recognise good “made in Italy” wine.

At the same time, for those interested, it is a way to discover some of the labels on the Kenyan market and appreciate their “terroir”.

The two events will be held at the Billionaire in Malindi (4 December) and at the Vineria in Watamu (5 December) from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.
